πŸ”‘ Key terminology

Here are the essential terms to understand when working with the Kunjani platform:

πŸ“š Deck

Think of a Deck as your digital "lesson plan." It’s a set of learning activities prepared in advance, ready to be played multiple times. A Deck is reusable and editable, just like a template. The order of activities can be randomised for variety or deliberately 'loaded' to guide the learner experience in a specific sequence.

Example:
You build a "Customer Service Basics" Deck once, and then reuse or adapt it anytime you train new hires.

▢️ Game

A Game is a specific instance or session of playing a Deck. Every time you invite learners to complete activities, you're launching a Game. Games generate real-time scores, leaderboards, and performance data each time they're played.

Example:
You launch a new Game using the "Customer Service Basics" Deck for your March onboarding class. Next month, you launch another Game with the same Deck for a different group of learners.

πŸ‘€ Suit

A Suit is the theme or 'personality' of your Deck. It adds playful structure and engagement rules based on the card drawn. Suits create variety and motivation by attaching small twists to each activity.

Roll the dice to land on a Suitβ€”each one introduces its own unique challenge, twist, or scoring rule to shape how the activity is tackled:

SuitEffectSuit  Effect
Jolt ⚑ Quick thinking and sharp answers.
Oops πŸ’£ Mistakes lead to lost points. Redeem some by reflecting.
Mystery 🧩 Creative task with unexpected challenges.
Demonstrate 🎬 Show your skills through action.
Advance πŸš€ Unpack the benefits from your achievements.
Explain πŸ’¬ Dive deep into analysis and relationships.

You can also create your own custom Suits.

πŸƒ Activity

An Activity is a single interaction inside a Deck. Its tone or challenge is influenced by the Suit drawn. Examples include quizzes, polls, image prompts, scenario-based choices, and reflective questions.

πŸ† Leaderboard

A real-time score tracker that shows individual or team points. Used in live or self-paced games to increase motivation and engagement.

πŸͺ„ Agent K

Agent K is a custom GPT built to help you brainstorm, write, and edit Kunjani decks. It’s your personal instructional design assistant.

πŸ“Š Reports

Each Game generates a Report showing participation, completion, performance and answers. Reports help facilitators and admins track learning impact. You can pull reports across multiple games or track individuals or teams’ progress, gaps, strengths or vulnerabilities.
